Stephen graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 1991. Originally from Cookstown, Stephen has spent most of his career in England, where he has worked in both first opinion and referral practice. Stephen is an RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology.
He was a founder member of Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists in Hampshire, one of the biggest specialist referral centres in the UK. Following the tragic passing of Alistair Gibson, Stephen stepped in initially to help with the backlog of cases, but he is now a regular visitor at Earlswood, where he has been privileged to carry on the excellent service previously provided by Alistair and the team at Earlswood.
Stephen offers over 20 years of cardiology experience and a full range of diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including a comprehensive interventional cardiology service. Like Alistair, Stephen offers a pragmatic and problem-orientated approach to cardiology, and enjoys working with the referring vet and pet owner to ensure the best possible outcome for the patient. Stephen is particularly pleased to have the opportunity to provide a cardiology service in Belfast, working with the excellent team in Earlswood, doing what he enjoys most, close to friends and family.
