Referral Services
Here at the Earlswood Veterinary Hospital we have developed expertise in orthopaedics, radiography, opthalmology and general medicine. One of our vets, Ian Millar, is a certified opthalmologist.
Having these facilities means we can take referrals from vets all over the UK, enabling them to communicate with us regarding difficult and specialised cases. If you wish to refer a pet, the veterinary surgeon needs to complete and forward a referral information sheet.
The main areas we take referrals in are orthopaedic cases, opthalmology cases (including cataract surgery and dislocated lenses) and spinal/neurological cases. The pet will be referred to us along with their medical history and we will proceed with the case. We are more than willing to discuss any case with a Vet in order to bring about a resolution.
If you feel your pet could benefit by being referred to us, please contact us or ask your local vet to contact us and we will be happy to help.
Vet MRI
This mobile unit inside a 36 wheeler articulated lorry visits the hospital on a monthly basis, allowing brain and spine injuries to be diagnosed and then treated. Practices with problem cases in this area can refer these to us so a pet can be treated using Vet MRI. Please enquire at the hospital for more details including prices and times.
